The authorities of the University of Ilorin have expressed their commitment to continue setting the pace for other universities to emulate in the area of quality research, innovation, as well as uninterrupted academic programmes.
Its Deputy-Director, Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, stated this, on Monday, when he received delegations from the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology (KSUSTA), Aliero, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
The team was led by the Head of the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry of the university, Dr. Haruna Yusuf, Staff Adviser, Mrs. Misitura Lawal and SIWES Co-ordinator, Mr. Cosmas Elinge, with over 40 students, who were on a-three day excursion to Kwara State.

Akogun, who assured the team that UNILORIN would not relent in its endeavours to continue as the “University of Choice” for applicants across the country, noted that the strides by the university was honoured by the federal government by conferring national honour on both its immediate past and current Vice Chancellors, Professors Ishaq Oloyede and Abdulgaiyu Ambali, respectively.
