#NIGERIAN HOUSE OF REPS THREATEN TO ARREST KACHIKWU, NNPC MD IF HE FAILS TO PRODUCE DOCUMENTS DEMANDED BY COMING WEDNESDAY.
The Nigerian House of Representatives, has threatened to issue a warrant of arrest, against the leadership of the NNPC and two of its subsidiaries.
Kachikwu doubles as Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
That is if they fail to produce documents, that will aid the execution of its assignment.
Chairman of the ad hoc committee, investigating alleged scams in the refined product exchange, otherwise called crude oil swaps contracts,
Zakari Mohammed, disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja.
He said the panel's assignment has been hampered, by the alleged non-cooperative attitude of the NNPC and its subsidiaries, PPMC and the
Crude Oil Department.
He also disclosed that several letters written to the agencies, for the provision of necessary documents, have not been produced.
The three government agencies have up till next Wednesday, to make the required materials available or risk arrest.
