The Court of Appeal in Abuja has dismissed a matter filed by Senate President, Bukola Saraki
challenging the validity of his trial by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
The Appeal Court reached the decision on Friday, October 30, 2015, after initially adjourning the case indefinitely.
Saraki is being tried by the CCT due to charges of asset declaration fraud brought against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
The Senate President had appeared before the CCT on October 21 but the tribunal was forced to adjourn the hearing in order to wait for the Appeal Court’s decision.
Saraki is set to appear before the tribunal on November 5 and 6, 2015.
